MEME'S ALTER EGO Retired (H. DOUGLAS, 2011) Tet, 6 ¼”, Dor, M-Re, 34”, Frag, 20 buds, 4-way branching (FLASHING JEWEL X TENDER SHEPHERD) The petals of this flower are a very sheer yellow accentuated by pink blush on the midribs, sepals and ruffles. The flower gets lighter and the diamond dusting more pronounced as the day progresses, just like it’s daddy. This is one of the flowers that has inspired me to start a whole program trying to develop pink midribs. It’s not purple, thus my alter ego. Out of Brother Charles’ TENDER SHEPHERD, it is extremely dormant and well branched. Fertile both ways. |
